«Giving birth is always been something we master and only during the last decade they have taken it away from us.»

I would like to take the opportunity to encourage woman to trust their bodies. Giving birth is always been something we master and only during the last decade they have taken it away from us.

They have told us we cannot do it, it is too painful, too dangerous and Drs should do it for us. Using forcesteps and instrumental surgery if needed as you are under anesthetic and unable to stay in contact and help your baby at its 100%; while you leave your baby who is going through the same pain and effort by himself. Total disconnection in that critical moment among the two of you, where your baby needs you more than ever.

That special moment where you could made the bond of your life
with your partner, while he helps you during the contractions and so become an integral part of the whole process; where inevitably you turn into his heroine forever after.

This decade medicine has discouraged women and made us feel insecure if labour is not performed at a hospital at the position convenient for the Doctor. Sure there is no drugs (Epidural anesthetic, chemical oxytocin, etc) in a home birth… Neither you need it if you train and trust your body and are accompanied of competent midwifes that respect the miracle of life and take care of the unpredictable if anything at all.

It is so important women feel treated with respect, love and comprehension in such a delicate moment. Giving birth at home where you feel confortable and surrounded of your people helps you in every way giving you reassurance, peace and harmony.

All required to inhibit adrenaline and so produce your natural oxytocin. Empower yourself and make yours the greatest experience of life. At home or at a hospital giving birth should stop been seen by Doctors as an illness to be treated.

Trust yourself and your body will do the rest, we are unbelievable perfect machines. Don’t forget we have created perfect life within us! Medicine can never attempt to improve what nature has created.

Special thanks to Midwifes Magale – San Sebastian (Josune & Clara)
